Elizabeth - I'm not a Bitch
by Gornaya
Elizabeth I reigned for 45 years. Her reign was so successful that an entire era was named after her. In *Maria Stuart*, however, Friedrich Schiller portrays her as a fickle, unscrupulous and deceitful tyrant. So it is time to put an end to Schiller’s misogynistic tragedy and set it against a humorous, feminist alternative – an Elizabeth of the 21st century.
What do female power and self-assertion mean today in a patriarchal world? How do issues of power play out in the everyday lives of each and every one of us? The author Gornaya and the actress Milva Stark tackle these questions, and in doing so do not shy away from their own personal (professional) everyday lives.
Elizabeth – I’m not a Bitch explores power and responsibility and examines the relationship between the sexes: can we free ourselves from prescribed gender roles and relate to one another as human beings?
