Christmas at the Rigiblick Theatre

After three Christmases spent with Charles Dickens and his Ebenezer Scrooge, Daniel Rohr and Klaus Hemmerle have unearthed a new Christmas story that is gripping, funny and heart-warming. In Wolfdietrich Schnurre’s fairytale-like story ‘The Flight into Egypt’, we find ourselves at a Christmas market in 1920s Berlin. There, rough manners and biting cold reign – to warm up, we head next door to the Pergamon Museum, to the Egyptian section. A turbulent plot with truly biblical themes awaits you, along with touching characters who haven’t exactly been spoilt by life, but whose hearts are in the right place.

And we also find the Rigiblick Band right in the thick of the hustle and bustle, on the hunt for pop-style, heartfelt and lively Christmas carols. They find what they’re looking for in the works of Tom Waits and Bob Dylan, Greg Lake, Mumford & Sons, Joni Mitchell and John Lennon. And when Anna Känzig and Lukas Langenegger let their angelic voices ring out, everything, everything will be alright again.
