Kick-off «Rumble in the Archive»

Inputs from art and science with live music and bar

In the "Rumble in the Archive" project, the Ethnographic Museum opens up perspectives of the diaspora from and on Zurich. Together with social anthropologist and co-curator Rohit Jain, it is inviting experts from art, science and civil society to take part in a residency. From December 2025 to June 2026, they will collect and arrange objects, stories, images, sounds and other fragments. At this event, the residents will introduce themselves and open the polyphonic archive space. This invites visitors to (self-)critically negotiate the colonial past and post-migrant present of Zurich and the museum.
