BIONDINI GODARD NIGGLI «Fables Of Time»

BIONDINI GODARD NIGGLI

‘Fables Of Time’ (New Release, Intakt Records 2026)

Luciano Biondini (accordion)
Michel Godard (tuba, serpent, electric bass)
Lucas Niggli (drums, percussion)

This international trio – ‘Italy-France-Switzerland’ – is one of the most interesting working bands on the contemporary European jazz scene – a highly virtuosic trio that does not get lost in narrow mountain valleys, but surfs above them, with an unobstructed view of the Mediterranean, soaring over the highs and lows of this musical landscape.

Three virtuosos who also push the boundaries – and go beyond them – when it comes to playing techniques and forms of expression on their instruments. Biondini – Godard – Niggli, in their extraordinary line-up of accordion – tuba/serpent – drums/percussion, create music that speaks to the soul, full of energy, poetry and subtle wit. Their compositions serve as ideal springboards for the spirited storytellers that these three improvisers are.

The trio have released two highly acclaimed CDs, ‘What is There What is Not’ and ‘Mavi’, on the renowned label INTAKT Records. Their long-awaited new album, ‘Fables Of Time’, was released on the same label in spring 2026.
