Denkbar – An Open Philosophical Evening

igBildung and Garage Wetzikon are once again inviting you to the new ‘Denkbar’ series in 2026. Guided by a philosopher, we will explore and delve into key topics relating to education and society through open discussion and mutual exchange. Together, we will create a space for connection, where we can inspire one another and discover new perspectives in a relaxed atmosphere.

2026 series of topics:
What does it mean to be human – in an age when machines learn and think?

Denkbar invites you to rethink the relationship between humans and machines – and to ask whether intelligence is really what defines us.

14 April: Human and artificial intelligence
26 May: Human and machine learning
20 October: More intelligence or more than intelligence?
24 November: Remaining human and becoming human

Each session runs from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm

Hosted by Dr Christian Graf:
Born in 1970 in Liestal (BL), he initially studied music, majoring in piano, before devoting himself to philosophy, literature and music at the University of Basel. He is married and the father of a son. As a freelance philosopher, author and piano teacher, he combines his diverse interests in teaching and writing. He is also active as a contributor to the PHILOSOPHICUM at the Ackermannshof in Basel, where he offers seminars and other educational events.
