The sweet porridge

AdaSdU: an integration project – Grimm’s Fairy Tales and a shadow play for the whole family.

As part of the AdaSdU (On the Other Side of the Bank) integration art project, the Brothers Grimm’s fairy tales ‘The Sweet Porridge’ and ‘The Bremen Town Musicians’ are being performed as shadow plays for the whole family in Wetzikon and Manegg-Leimbach.

Neighbours from migrant backgrounds are taking part in the project and, whilst improving their German, are creating the shadow theatre figures featured in the fairy tales. In addition, there is an exchange between the participants and their families from Wetzikon, Manegg and Leimbach. Both Grimm’s fairy tales will be performed at both venues. An artistic project for the whole family.

Following the performance, there will be a discussion with the participants and the audience (Sprachkaffe).

Cast: Neighbours from the Manegg and Leimbach neighbourhoods and the town of Wetzikon.

Music: Mercedes Borguńska and neighbours.
Communication: Florencia Tenaglia
Artistic Director: Frida Leon Beraud

‘Der süsse Brei’ will be performed on 29 November and on 2 December ‘The Bremen Town Musicians’ at the Garage Wetzikon
