Jane Mumford – Life!
Stand-up comedy / Dialect
Ah, youth! Wouldn’t we all love to be 16 again? No, Jane Mumford wouldn’t. She’s never been one for romantic ‘coming-of-age’ stories. What on earth is supposed to be romantic about a time full of spots, feeling overwhelmed and the pressure to perform?!
In her second solo show, Jane Mumford turns her attention to the human condition. Her darkly humorous pieces range from the absurd challenges we face, to our mortality – which we must learn to live with – right through to the crises of puberty.
A piece about life and learning to live.
Jane Mumford was crowned the winner (solo) of the Swiss Comedy Award 2026 with “LEBEN!”!
“Dragging your own coffin onto the stage, portraying yourself as an annoying goth teenager, explaining Gene Kelly through words and tap dance – only Jane Mumford does that. Hilarious, with that friendly British charm, and unique in this country as a solo performing writer.” Viktor Giaccobo
