Queer Things Vorpremiere: "La bola negra"
presented by the Pink Apple Film Festival
Three young queer men in Spain, three eras: in 1937, a Francoist soldier falls in love with his Republican prisoner; in 1932, a young man from a respectable family in Granada is ostracised due to rumours of his homosexuality; in 2017, in Madrid, a young playwright inherits an envelope from his mysterious grandfather. Inspired by the manuscript of the same name by the poet Federico García Lorca, ‘La bola negra’ skilfully weaves together three destinies to create a panorama of familial tragedies and male desire.
