Since 2013, the biennial Zurich music festival ‘Zwei Tage Strom’ has been exploring the diversity of artistic approaches in electroacoustic music, a field that is constantly shifting and reinventing itself. Rather than following the well-trodden paths of electronic music, the festival listens to the spaces in between – where the unexpected lies hidden and where established trends collide or quietly intertwine.
Now in its seventh edition, ‘Zwei Tage Strom’ continues to follow this curiosity: this year, the festival offers music featuring analogue, synthetic and AI-generated sounds, installation-based performances with instruments and machines, harsh noise from the underground club scene, as well as electroacoustic compositions at the intersection of traditional Islamic music and contemporary Western-influenced composition.
