My favourite cultural venue: Theater Stadelhofen

If you spend a lot of time with children, you will be catapulted into a parallel cultural world. Conni, Peppa Wutz and Paw Patrol reign supreme there. The characters are adored by children and loathed by their parents. Unfortunately, they not only dominate the shelves in children's rooms, but also those in supermarkets and toy shops.

However, there is also entertainment that gets by with far less commercialism - and appeals to all generations. Really! It is shown at the Stadelhofen Theatre, for example. Plays for adults are performed there in the evenings, while there are performances for children on Wednesday afternoons and at weekends. There are also regular performances for the very youngest (from the age of 2). In other words, the age group that is often forgotten or given really annoying (Schnappi!) entertainment.

The plays are by absolute professionals, some of which have already won awards. They are multi-layered and entertain everyone - even the 2-year-old children follow the action on stage spellbound for over half an hour.

The only challenge with a visit to the Stadelhofen theatre is that the reserved tickets should be collected at least half an hour beforehand.

As the performances are often sold out, you don't want to take any risks - and then have to wait a while with the children. During this time, they can sip free syrup and play with the Brio train in the foyer. Many of them enjoy it so much that they don't even want to watch the performance any more. But only briefly, because as soon as it gets dark in the small auditorium, everyone wants to know: What happens now?
